The average can vary based on position, experience, degree and where you work. Positions in social work can pay upwards of €40k per year, whereas positions in childcare have an average annual salary of €25k.

Working hours can vary by employer, but can include regularly working long and/or unsociable hours.
By law, all those who work full-time in Ireland are entitled to 20 days of annual leave. It's not usually possible to get away with not taking leave and most employers will also award extra vacation days to long-term employees.
